Plenary UPPWATER session: A Dutch example of strengthening the innovation capacity of the water technology sector
The UPPWATER programme (2024–2033), supported by the Dutch National Growth Fund, aims to strengthen the earning capacity of the Dutch water technology sector.
By connecting the entire innovation chain—from research and scale-up to first references and market application—UPPWATER enables promising innovations to reach the international market more quickly.
In this session, we will update you on the latest developments within UPPWATER. In addition, five water technology companies will share their experiences with testing and implementing innovations within the programme. They will demonstrate the steps they take to successfully bring their innovations to market and the value these innovations create.
We will conclude with a short, interactive panel discussion addressing the question: how can we collectively make the step from vision to value?
The European Water Technology Week 2026, a gathering at the intersection of science, innovation, talent and business in water technology, will be held on October 26, 27 and 28 2026. The EWTW brings together leading experts, researchers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to explore the latest advancements and opportunities in the field. Whether you’re interested in the latest scientific breakthroughs, seeking business opportunities, or looking to network with industry leaders, EWTW offers something for everyone.
Integrated in the EWTW are the annual Wetsus Congress and activities of the Water Alliance and UPPWATER.
